It needs to be said that you will receive plenty of frame-worthy, stand-there-and-smile, JCPenney Portrait’s dream pose pictures. Those are always in my mind; therefore, it will feel like the posed photos you’ve hired me for fly by in your session. It’s true. That’s a valid feeling. If I may, please allow me to calm your mind through the work below and an exercise. Think for a second about how fast your life moves every day. How quickly have your kids grown, how many goodnight kisses have been given, how many milestones, and how fast has it felt? Like you blinked?

It goes by so fast, and your session may feel that way, too. This is because I find it VERY fun to let out our zoomies and laugh, balanced with slowing down for 30 seconds, taking a deep breath, and finding deep intimacy in the everyday pass-you-by moments.

NEVER say “You should smile” to your children, especially your daughters. I always found it demanding and rude. I won’t do that to them.
Respect them, their spaces, and their bubbles.
Make PLENTY of room for their personalities.
Match their energy.
